The Freeburg Fire Protection District has proudly served the residents and businesses of Freeburg and the surrounding community for generations. Built on a tradition of volunteerism, dedication, and service, the district continues to protect approximately 53 square miles of suburban and rural communities throughout the area.

Operating from its station in the heart of Freeburg, the department is staffed by highly trained volunteer firefighters committed to responding whenever the community calls. Over the years, the district has continually evolved to meet the changing needs of the community through modern apparatus, advanced training, and updated equipment designed to provide efficient and effective emergency response.

The department’s commitment to excellence has helped maintain a strong reputation for fire protection, rescue operations, and mutual aid support throughout the region. From structure fires and vehicle accidents to severe weather response and community outreach, the Freeburg Fire Protection District remains focused on protecting life, property, and the future of the community it proudly serves.

Today, the district continues to build upon its proud history while preparing for the challenges of tomorrow — honoring the traditions of the past while embracing modern technology, training, and service for the next generation.
